I was inspired by these super cute scarecrows on pinterest that I saw a year ago. Somehow between then and now the website they were on has been taken down. So I would love to give credit to whoever shared their fun scarecrows- let me know if it was you! Here are the patterns I drew for my class to make the scarecrows- I think they turned out pretty cute!

My class made these cute scarecrow faces last week. I love how each face is just a little different! I got the idea for this project from the All Kids Network site. I used the hat pattern from Lakeshore. We also made a scarecrow family (photos to come soon!). The scarecrow family are all missing their heads at this point. Next week we are going to have a drawing to see whose face art project will go on each scarecrow. We’re also going to vote on names for our scarecrow friends. Here are the directions I made and laminated to help out the parent volunteer at this station.

We also made scarecrow cookies at another station. I saw the idea for these cookies on pinterest (where else?) and they turned out really well. To make the cookies you’ll need:

• circle sugar cookies
• wafer cookies
• m&m’s
• candy corn
• twizzlers
• white frosting
• plastic knives & paper plates
